Doodle Horse Ranch is proud to have Nicola “Nikki” Rous, an accomplished international rider whose passion for horses and dedication to excellence have been evident since childhood.
Nikki’s love for horses began at a very young age, and she started riding at just seven years old. From the beginning, it was clear that her talent and drive set her apart. Her journey quickly led her to Belgium, widely recognized as one of the world’s premier hubs for elite show jumping.
For five years, Nikki trained in the heart of the European show jumping circuit, working alongside multiple top-level riders and respected trainers. This intensive experience shaped her into a highly skilled competitor with a deep understanding of both the sport and the horse.
Over the course of her career, Nikki has successfully jumped at an impressive level, competing up to Grand Prix.
Her competition experience spans some of the most demanding and prestigious environments in the sport, giving her a level of professionalism and horsemanship that is truly exceptional.
What makes Nikki especially valuable to Doodle Horse Ranch is her extensive background in producing and developing young horses. She has a proven ability to bring along emerging talent with patience, precision, and confidence-building training.
In addition, Nikki is known for her skill with “quirky and sensitive” horses — the ones that require an extra level of understanding, creativity, and trust. Her calm, thoughtful approach allows these horses to thrive and reach their full potential.
